We’re off on holiday

It’s nearly the holiday season, so that means we’re off on holiday to recharge the batteries. We will be closing at 5pm on Thursday 30th November and reopening 2 weeks before Easter 2018 – so pop into see us before we leave.

Don’t panic you’ve still got TEN days to enjoy our seasonal favourites including a warming smoked haddock chowder, perfect after a long winters walk on the beach.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  We would like to thank you all for your support this year.

We look forward to welcoming you again in 2018.

Warm up in our brick kiln

Darker nights and colder days must mean it’s time to settle down in our warm brick kiln at Rocky Bottoms and try our freshly caught mussels.

Mussels are at their best during Autumn, there’s nothing quite like the first batch, plump and deep coral in colour, definitely well worth the wait!

Autumn by the Seaside

After the hustle and bustle of summer, autumn is the perfect time to visit the gorgeous Norfolk seaside.

Enjoy a walk along the coast and then drop by to see us and order a Weybourne crab sandwich with homemade lemon mayo and salad – fresh and delicious!

Sunday-Thursday: 10am – 5pm
Friday-Saturday: 10am – 8.00pm
*hot food served from 12pm

Our seafood counter is also open from 10am everyday, with lots to choose from to enjoy at home. Hot drinks are also available from 10am too!

Catch us on Nadiya’s British Food Adventure

Catch us on Nadiya’s British Food Adventure with Nadiya Hussain! On Monday 31st July, see how the Great British Bake Off winner gets on sailing with Richard and preparing fresh Cromer crabs with Ali, as she visits the family run restaurant in West Runton, Norfolk.

Nadiya Hussain, The Great British Bake Off 2015 champion, is in search of the best of British cooking for her new series on BBC2. Nadiya’s British Food Adventure is on air this summer and sees her take “a culinary road trip around Britain”, visiting a different region of the UK in each episode in a bid “to uncover some of our most exciting food pioneers”.

In this third episode Nadiya travels to the East of England to learn about the food she loves to cook for her family.

Setting off to explore the East of England, her first stop is in Weybourne where she boards a sea fishing boat for the first time ever to catch the area’s hugely popular sweet Cromer crabs. After returning to land Nadiya uses the day’s catches to make some fresh and vibrant Vietnamese style crab summer rolls at Rocky Bottoms.

The episode will be aired on Monday 31st July, 8.30pm on BBC Two.
